Match Report Press Report

Burgess Hill I Lost to Crawley Squash Club IV in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 3 string should have been the closest, with only 65 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with winning through.

It was the number 5 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 84 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Kevin Darby.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 5 string, Kevin Darby, gaining 40 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, James Goring, who over-turned a 264 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
